This sculpture explores the intersection of biblical language, that of God’s chosen “instrument” in Acts 9:15–16. Jesus the Christ is shown as a reduction, a symbol in lieu of an icon, through the lens of the Retool sculpture series. This sculpture intends no disrespect but hopes instead to stir discussion concerning the most important series of events surrounding the person of Jesus Christ the messiah.
